Los Angeles Angels leadoff hitter Zach Neto has absolutely dominated Athletics starting pitcher JP Sears, going 5-10 with two home runs and three RBI. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sears is really struggling this season with a 5.21 ERA, and he already got rocked for 6 earned runs on 8 hits across 5 innings pitched against the Halos in late-May. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neto has been an Athletics-killer with 3+ HRR in 4 of 6 games during the 2025 campaign (2 in the other 2 games) while going 9-23 (.391) with a home run and five RBI in the process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Angels shortstop has covered this HRR line in 4 of his last 7 games while landing on two exactly twice including yesterday’s 2-4 performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He will also get cracks against the Athletics bullpen that ranks dead last in both ERA & WHIP on the season and since May 1st. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There isn’t anything saying that they will improve as they rank 28th in xFIP on the season and 29th since May 1st. Neto will see plenty of opportunities while leading off on the road against some downright pathetic pitching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MLB Player Props Today for Wednesday: Trevor Story, Red Sox OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-110)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We backed Trevor Story on this play yesterday and it paid off as he went 2-4 with a solo blast. Story is ridiculously streaky hitter who is coming off a horrendous May where he posted a .158 batting average with only three extra-base hits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Story has caught fire recently with 4, 3, 5 and 9 HRR in his last four games while going 9-19 (474) with two home runs and 9 RBI in the process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m going to overlook Story going 0-5 against Zack Littell as he has drawn two free passes. More importantly, all the hitters that bat in front of Story have had success against Littell including Jarren Duran (4-12 HR), Rafael Devers (3-10 HR) and Abraham Torro (2-4). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Littell has been a very reliable starter, but the Red Sox will be getting a 2nd look at him after he held them to only one run on 5 hits across 6 innings of work in mid-April. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s look for someone to get on base in front of Story while he continues his hot streak and gets his first hit against Littell in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
