We\u2019re going to ride Pete Alonso\u2019s hot bat into today\u2019s matchup with the Dodgers as the Mets first baseman hit two home runs last night in the team\u2019s 6-1 win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Landon Knack takes the mound for the Dodgers today who has allowed six home runs in his last four starts combined including one to Alonso when the Dodgers lost at New York 3-1 back on May 25. Knack has allowed seven home runs in total on the season with five of them coming at home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has allowed two home runs in 8.1 innings pitched during day games and six of seven home runs allowed to righties in 63 at bats compared to one allowed to lefties in 74 at-bats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alonso has a slugging percentage of .572 against righties this season so let\u2019s play on him to hit another home run today at +250<\/strong> with other Mets batters to consider for a home run being Francisco Lindor (+300)<\/strong> and Francisco Alvarez (+470)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rangers look to take at least one game of their series against the Rays as these two go at it for the last time this regular season tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryan Pepiot starts for the Rays and on the surface it may look like we don\u2019t want to target Texas batters for a home run, but playing in Tampa has been a different story when it comes to home runs allowed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rays starter has allowed nine of his ten total home runs at George M. Steinbrenner Field this season as we\u2019ll look at Josh Jung to hit his eighth home run of the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jung is trying to get back in the form that saw him hit 23 home runs in 122 games in 2023 as he\u2019s gone 2-3 with a home run in his career against Pepiot all time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rangers third baseman has also done most of his power damage away from home this season slugging .505 compared to slugging just .346 at Globe Life Field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s also worth noting Jung\u2019s day and night splits batting .292 with a .492 slugging percentage during night games and batting just .215 to go along with a .277 slugging percentage during the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We get solid odds for Jung to hit a home run at +430<\/strong>, but you can also look at Wyatt Langford (+290)<\/strong> and Jake Burger (+350)<\/strong> to hit a home run as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
