It looks like Braves first baseman Matt Olson is starting to get on track, blasting a home run in three of his past four games with ten total on the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Braves get Trevor Williams tonight making his second straight start against Atlanta going 4.1 innings while allowing three earned runs last time out but no home runs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olson didn\u2019t have a hit in that game, but he does have a home run in ten at-bats against Williams in his career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nationals\u2019 starter has also had his struggles against lefties in general this season allowing all five home runs to left handed hitters while allowing a .589 slugging percentage compared to a .247 slugging percentage allowed to right handed hitters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olson sports a .559 slugging percentage in May so far and has a slugging percentage that\u2019s 60 points higher on the road than at home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Williams hasn\u2019t allowed a home run in each of his last two starts, but allowed one in five of his previous six starts before that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has a hit in seven of his last eight games while slugging .507 in May and is 4-7 with a home run off Athletics starter JP Sears. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sears has allowed three home runs in just 14 innings pitched in home starts with the other three coming in 35 innings pitched on the road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neto had 23 home runs last season in 155 games and is well on his way to surpassing that number this season with seven in just 29 games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neto only has 13 plate appearances against left handers this season, but in 2024 he hit .374 with a .598 slugging percentage against lefties compared to a .218 average and .405 slugging percentage against righties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
