No rest for the weary as the Tour moves on from the first major to the 6th Signature Event of the season which means we have another strong field this week, sans the new Grand Slam winner, Rory McIlroy who was not entered into this tournament even before the Masters, as if he knew something\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
The event features just 72 players and no cut. Because of the limited field, there is another event this week as well, the Corales Puntacana Championship to help fill your golf betting dreams! <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Of eligible participants (Hatton and DeChambeau not eligible), all of the OWGR Top-35 except for the aforementioned Rory McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama will be teeing it up this week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
56 of the 72 in the field played in the Masters Tournament last week which is important as each of the last four winners did tee it up at Augusta the week prior. That list includes Scottie Scheffler, Matt Fitzpatrick, Jordan Spieth and Stewart Cink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Harbour Town is a Pete Dye design with course management the most important strategy this week. Unlike at Augusta National, the course is tight with overhanging trees lining the fairways. It also features some of the smallest greens on Tour, averaging around 3,700 square feet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
With that, along with several doglegs going both directions, placement in the fairway is crucial to be able to attack these greens so expect players to keep the driver in the bag a little more often. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
The course measures just over 7,200 yards and plays to a par-71. There is also water in play on basically every hole, while sitting on the Atlantic Ocean is always ripe for wind to cause havoc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
The good news this week is that the wind does not appear likely to play a major factor with average winds of 10-15 mph in the forecast all four days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Temperatures will hover in the mid-70s all week while there is almost no chance of rain. All that spells ideal conditions so expect to see some low scores this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

RBC Heritage Predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Winner: Tommy Fleetwood +3300 | Top-10 +260 | Top-20 +105<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nGoing to avoid the guys that were in high-stress last week and focus on guys that finished early on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Fleetwood finished a respectable T21 last week at the Masters but was nowhere in contention all week and aside from the physical toll of Augusta for four days, at least he didn\u2019t go through it emotionally.\u00a0He had one bad round on Saturday shooting 75 (+3) and if he just shoots even instead, he is in the mix and comfortably finishing inside the Top-10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
If you look at his week prior finishing T62 at the Valero Texas Open, you could be worried as well, but similarly, one poor round, a very poor 81 on Sunday.\u00a0He was 1-under and inside the Top-20 prior to that final round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
So essentially, we are looking at two bad rounds in the last eight months, as that T62 at the Valero snapped a streak of 15 straight Top-22 finishes. I\u2019m not ready to write-off that consistency with a couple bad days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Winner:<\/strong> Sepp Straka +4500 | Top-10 +350 | Top-20 +135<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nFull transparency, I lost on Straka last week in a matchup over Dustin Johnson and it was an excruciating way to finish.\u00a0An ugly Round 1 saw Straka shoot 78 (+6) and what seemed to be a quick exit.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
However, he bounced back on Friday to work himself inside the cutline, 5-under and +1 for the tournament through 16 holes only to finish bogey-triple bogey and miss the cut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
The Masters can do that to you and I\u2019m willing to put seemingly just one bad round behind us.\u00a0The good news is of course he is a little more rested and certainly less stressed than others in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Prior to that, Straka had eight Top-15 finishes in 11 starts with two of the misses being Top-30s.\u00a0His driving accuracy and approach play are perfectly suited for this course.\u00a0Straka ranks 5th<\/sup> in SG Approach this season, 2nd<\/sup> in Proximity and 2nd<\/sup> in Birdie Average.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nHe also has two Top-5 finishes here in the last three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
