Matt Olson has gotten off to a slow start this season batting just .211 with one home run as the Braves get new Phillies pitcher Jesus Luzardo starting for Philadelphia tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luzardo gave up nine home runs last season in 66.2 innings pitched with five of those coming on the road and allowing left handed batters to hit .267 with a .489 slugging percentage compared to righties batting just .241 with a .394 slugging percentage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last season, Olson had success against left-handed pitching, hitting a home run once every 17 at bats with a .515 slugging percentage compared to one every 22 at bats against righties with a .434 slugging percentage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That success has so far carried over to this season with the Braves first baseman batting .375 against lefties compared to just .167 against righties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
