Carmouche will get the takedown, and control her on the ground and\u00a0 probably get the submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kasum Kasumov -395 vs Justin Wetzell +280<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both guys like to get the fight to the ground and control their opponents, but I think the\u00a0 biggest difference in the fighters is the striking of Kasumov, and the lack of striking from\u00a0Wetzell. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His striking is pretty soft, and it\u2019s not a threat to Kasumov as there\u2019s not much\u00a0 power behind it, and you can see it coming a mile away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wetzell can take lesser\u00a0opponents down and control them, but this is too big of a step up in competition. As effective as Kasumov is on the ground, I actually think he\u2019s going to be better off\u00a0 keeping it on the feet and striking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If it does go to the ground, I\u2019m not sure Wetzell has\u00a0the ability to hold Kasumov down to do enough damage to win rounds. <strong>Kasumov will be better everywhere<\/strong>, he should win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Francesco Nuzzi -310 vs Mando Gutierrez +250\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To say that both these guys have holes in their games would be an understatement.\u00a0 Mando Gutierrez lost in 202 on CS to Raul Rosas Jr who was 17 at the time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know\u00a0Rosas is a bit of an athletic freak, but he needed a parents signed permission slip to\u00a0 fight, and Gutierrez lost to him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since then he\u2019s fought in someone\u2019s backyard and won,\u00a0he lost on TUF, and on Fury Series 10, and he beat legendary jobber Erik Vo and beat\u00a0 someone at DEEP Tokyo Impackt 2024 who was an amateur fighter at best. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The point is, Gutierrez is really bad. He does not want the fight to be on the feet, he wants\u00a0 takedowns and ground control, and even though he\u2019s pretty bad at wrestling, he can\u00a0 make it work against bad fighters. Nuzzi is a bad fighter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has no takedown defense\u00a0 or wrestling skills, his striking is good against fighters who don\u2019t block their face, but I go\u00a0back to that fight in 2022 against Benkaci where he was losing the striking battle, and\u00a0he got slightly poked in the eye, and he fell over and milked it until the fight was ruled a\u00a0 no-contest, but make no-mistake, he quit in that fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have a fighter who is terrible\u00a0 on the feet\/good on the ground vs a fighter who is good on the feet\/bad on the ground.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuzzi won\u2019t do well if he faces adversity, but Gutierrez is awful on the feet, and <strong>Nuzzi is probably going to nuke this guy on the feet at some point, and he gets the win by KO<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2025 PFL First Round Bantamweights and Women&#8217;s Flyweights Main Event: Leandro Higo vs Josh Rettinghouse<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Higo was supposed to fight Magomedov, but he pulled out so they replaced him with\u00a0 Rettinghouse, and I\u2019m sorry, he\u2019s not ready. He can wrestle a bit, but his striking is low\u00a0volume and not very powerful, and his level of competition has been awful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He\u2019s 20-5,\u00a0but his last opponent was 1-4, and before that he squeaked out a split decision against\u00a0 a nobody in FAC, and before that he beat someone that was 18-38.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was on The\u00a0Ultimate Fighter in 2021, but he only lasted one fight because he lost.
