Goodyear 400 Track: Darlington Raceway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Darlington Raceway, known as \u201cThe Track Too Tough to Tame,\u201d is a 1.366-mile egg-shaped\u00a0 oval with two drastically different corners, making it one of the most unique tracks in NASCAR.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The quirky layout came from the original owner refusing to move a minnow pond, forcing one\u00a0end of the track to be tighter and more narrow than the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s made entirely of asphalt and is\u00a0notoriously hard on tires, demanding precision and patience from even the best drivers.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Darlington is my favorite track on the schedule because it tests a driver’s skill like no other place\u00a0 does. Over the last two years, drivers like Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Tyler Reddick have\u00a0stood out here with strong performances and top finishes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The worn-out surface, tricky shape,\u00a0and relentless challenge make Darlington a true throwback that never fails to deliver drama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goodyear 400 Head-to-Head Prediction<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ty Gibbs +120 vs Kyle Busch\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think this is worth a sprinkle as Gibbs finished 13th last week 17th on Martinsville, and while I\u2019m not a fan of Gibbs, he finished 2nd at this race last year, well ahead of Busch. Busch\u00a0finished ahead of him in the fall, but that was a different season with different conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Busch\u00a0looked great at COTA and Phoenix, but he\u2019s started to fall off as expected finished 33rd, 21st\u00a0 and 17th at Las Vegas, Miami and Martinsville. This +120 price makes it too good to pass up,\u00a0 this is worth a sprinkle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goodyear 400 Winning Manufacturer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1 unit on Chevy +140<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 unit on Ford +250\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ford\u2019s haven\u2019t been great this year, but this is a track they\u2019ve had success at. Ford and Chevy\u00a0have won at Darlington the last 6 races so I think if we put a unit on both, we\u2019ll come out ahead if one of them wins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the spring, Toyota had 3 cars in the Top 13, and in the fall they only had\u00a03 Toyota\u2019s in the top 16. We\u2019ll roll with Chevy and Ford again at Darlington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
