The obvious angle here is to look to fade Clemson off the Tigers’ upset over Duke on Saturday. Brad Brownell’s squad out-scored the Blue Devils 33-22 over the final 15 minutes to knock off the No. 2 team in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With only one day to recover from that victory, the traditional handicapping angle would be to look for reasons to play against Clemson on Monday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We’re not so sure it’s going to be that easy. It didn’t generate the same kind of headlines as Clemson’s win over Duke, but North Carolina kept its season alive with a 67-66 home win over Pitt on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s on a different scale than beating No. 2 Duke, but in terms of coming off a big, meaningful victory, North Carolina is in the exact same boat as Clemson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In North Carolina’s last three road games, the Tar Heels have shot a combined 29.3-percent from three-point range. Clemson is playing at the second-slowest pace in the ACC. The under is 9-2 in North Carolina’s last 11 games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The under is 6-4 in Clemson’s last ten games, but two of those “over” results required overtime to get there and would have comfortably stayed under the total in regulation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
