The SEC is absolutely loaded this season and there aren’t too many “get right” spots on the league schedule, but this is as good as it gets for the Gators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Florida is coming off a 20-point thrashing at the hands of Tennessee on Saturday. The Gators made more free throws (14) than field goals (13) in that contest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Star guards Alijah Martin and Walter Clayton combined to go 5-for-25 from the floor as Tennessee’s defense brought its A-game for that one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Todd Golden’s team has done a really nice job of bouncing back from shaky performances this season, and we expect that to be the case again on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After losing to Kentucky in early January, Florida beat Tennessee by 30 the following game. After losing to Missouri, the Gators beat Texas by 24 in the following game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After narrowly avoiding a shocking loss to South Carolina, Florida responded with a 30-point win over Georgia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
While we were originally tempted to lay the points with the Gators, our preferred play in this matchup is to back the over. Four of the last five meetings between these teams have gone over the total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the 16-team SEC, Vanderbilt is No. 14 in defensive efficiency, last in effective field goal shooting allowed, No. 15 in free throw attempts allowed, last in three-point shooting allowed and No. 15 in two-point shooting allowed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Conference opponents are shooting 41.2-percent from beyond the arc against the Commodores’ defense. In four conference road games thus far, Vanderbilt has allowed an average of 86.8 points per game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both teams play at a brisk pace. Both teams are capable of making shots. Look for another aggressive bounce-back effort out of the Gators in this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
