Crystal Palace won the last matchup between these two sides at this venue 1-0 back in September 2023 thanks to a Joachim Andersen rocket from well outside the box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
That hasn\u2019t even been the worst of it for United in this fixture either who got drubbed 4-0 by the Eagles in their subsequent meeting back at the end of last season, before Crystal Palace once again proved a thorn in United\u2019s side earlier this year with a 0-0 draw down in London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Manchester United have however looked somewhat improved across recent weeks, winning four of their last five games overall, one of which included a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Arsenal in the FA Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Crystal Palace meanwhile have also looked much sharper of late, with their defeat against Brentford last week being their only loss across any of their seven previous games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Manchester United have a highly important game on Thursday evening against FCSB in the Europa League, a game that could potentially determine whether or not United go automatically into the Round of 16 of that competition, or have to go through the playoff route instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Overall, given some likely tired legs here on display for United on Sunday, combined with the fact that no team has kept fewer clean sheets at home this season in the first half of games than Manchester United have, and we like the road team in this one to get on the scoresheet early this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Whether the Blues can snap that here on Monday night or not against a West Ham team who they\u2019ve tended to dominate in this venue across recent seasons, winning all of their last four encounters by a combined 11-1 margin, is another matter however.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Former Brighton and Chelsea boss, Graham Potter, has had a rather subdued start to his new role as Hammers boss, getting put out of the FA Cup against Aston Villa in his opening game three weeks ago, and then winning just one of his last three Premier League games overall as well, a win West Ham were somewhat fortunate to get the victory in over fellow London side Fulham, with the Cottagers owning a sizeable 21-4 goal attempts advantage over them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
However, despite their lopsided recent results against Chelsea at this venue, West Ham have looked more defensively stable under Potter, ranking top-five in the league in defensive xGA in their previous road game against Aston Villa last week, and from an intangible standpoint, Potter will be well up for this game as well considering his ignominious end in the Chelsea dugout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
While Chelsea are coming into this game the better of the two teams overall, we like the value in backing the Hammers to potentially spoil the party here and come away with a big-priced draw on Monday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
