Boston Celtics vs Charlotte Hornets Analysis<\/h2>\n

Two teams that are very hard to figure out on a night to night basis square off in Boston. The Celtics\u2026the kings of .500\u2026have no winning streaks above three games this season and are 25-25 against the spread this season open up as -5 favorites with a total of 220 against the Hornets can win and lose to anyone on any given night. We know the Hornets and Celtics will play, but which teams will show up? Let\u2019s dig in and find a bet for this game.<\/p>\n

Who Are The Hornets?<\/h3>\n

Bottom line is these guys depend on three point shooting as they shoot 38.1 three point shots a game. The last three games have been a good indicator to how good and bad they can be as they\u2019ve scored 90, 117, and 158 in their last three. They\u2019re 1-4 in the last five games against the spread, but at the same time they\u2019re 9-4 money line their last 13 games.<\/p>\n

It could be a high scoring affair against the Boston as they are terrible against centers and shooting guards, so Jaylen Brown and the combo of Horford\/Williams could have big nights.<\/p>\n

At the same time, they have the 5th best offensive efficiency this season, and they are now #1 in pace of play, and Boston is above average in guarding shooting guards and forwards, and Charlotte gets their production from those wing players in Bridges, Ball, and Rozier.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not a hard recipe for this team, if they hit their threes they win, if they are off target they lose.<\/p>\n

No Streaking For Boston<\/h3>\n

This team just can\u2019t get rolling. It hasn\u2019t had a winning streak more than three games, and on eight separate occasions they\u2019ve won two in a row then lost a game. Right now they have won two in a row, so maybe this is it with breaking through to three wins and then…gasp…four games in a row?<\/p>\n

Tatum and Brown continue to put up big numbers, but there\u2019s no lack of consistency from the supporting cast. Horford and Williams could cause some trouble tomorrow night with how bad Charlotte is against centers, but Boston\u2019s fate tomorrow night will depend on Brown and Tatum.<\/p>\n

Crazy stat: There have only been six games this season where Tatum or Brown weren\u2019t their leading scorer. These teams played not a long time ago and Charlotte won 111-102 on a night Brown and Tatum went a combined 2-18 from threes. I don\u2019t expect that again, but they gave up 28-4-10 to Rozier and 22-7-2 to Bridges. There aren\u2019t any against the spread trends that interest me with this team, but there is a total I like.<\/p>\n

Boston Celtics vs Charlotte Hornets Prediction<\/h3>\n

Give me the under in this one as I don\u2019t see a game in the 220\u2019s. Boston is 4-1 to the under, and as much as Charlotte wants to push the pace the Celtics don\u2019t as they are 25th in pace of play.<\/p>\n

Boston has played in eight straight games that have gone under this total, and with this total both teams have to be shooting well and I think we could one and maybe even two teams not shooting amazing numbers from the field.<\/p>\n

Boston Celtics vs Charlotte Hornets Preview from GoldSheet<\/h2>\n

Boston took care of business against an unexpectedly depleted Miami side on Monday, wiping out the Heat in the 2nd half in a 122-92 victory behind 29 pts. from Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum\u2019s 20-pt.\/12 reb. double-double.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s four straight up wins in the last five for the Celtics, who are level with Toronto for the 8-9 slots, while both are chasing Charlotte and Brooklyn to get out of the play-in zone for the postseason. Charlotte continued to cool off in the los to the Clippers on Sunday, as Los Angeles slammed the Hornets 115-90 as the Clips out shot the Hornets 52%-33% and won the rebound battle by 12.<\/p>\n

The Celtics had won nine straight against the Hornets in TD Garden (8-0-1 vs. the number) before this season\u2019s first meeting, when Charlotte upset Boston 111-102 in Beantown 2 weeks ago.<\/p>\n

LaMelo Ball had a 15-10-10 triple-double in that encounter, as the Hornets outshot and outrebounded the Celtics, who received an off performance from Tatum (5 of 19 shooting for only 12 pts. and 6 rebounds; 0 of 7 on treys) as he was in foul trouble.<\/p>\n

This time around, the Hornets won\u2019t have Gordon Hayward and the Celtics are in much better form with a little revenge motive going for them.<\/p>\n
