The West Midlands club are currently languishing at the bottom of the table right now after suffering six defeats from their opening seven games, including allowing a massive 21 goals across those first seven games as well. That's not only a league-worst, but also a far cry from what we\u2019ve come to expect from this traditionally solid defensive Wolves team across recent seasons also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s no surprise therefore to see Wolves manager Gary O\u2019Neil currently listed as the second favorite to get fired next in the sack race, with only Manchester United\u2019s Erik ten Hag being listed as a bigger favorite to be relieved of his duties next at the time of writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Manchester City have their own issues ahead of this one however, currently sitting a point behind Liverpool at the top of the table and owning -2 goal differential against their Red rivals also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
However, with the Merseyside club facing an excellent Chelsea team this weekend in the game immediately after this one on Sunday, Manchester City will see this game against Wolves as not only a great opportunity to take all three points, and perhaps leapfrog Liverpool at the top of the table, but also provide a massive boost to their goal differential as well, especially against a Wolves side that have looked defensively vulnerable pretty much every time the ball has gone inside their own half this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s largely been the opposite for Crystal Palace this season, with the Eagles starting life on zero wins and just five goals scored across their Premier League campaign so far, the league\u2019s second-worst return in offensive scoring this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Eagles manager Oliver Glasner is therefore under immense pressure to find a positive result in this one, and their have been some bright sparks for Palace this season despite all of their relative issues, drawing against both Chelsea and Manchester United in competitive games, as well as narrowly losing to top of the table Liverpool last time out also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Both of these teams have a history of playing out tight games against one another across previous seasons, with each of their last three meetings in the Premier League ending all square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
We see Monday night\u2019s game ending no differently as Nottingham Forest have simply failed to impress so far at the City Ground this season despite all of the positivity, while Crystal Palace will know they\u2019ll need a result in this one with Tottenham up next on deck for them in the Premier League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Expect this one to end all square once again on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
