Louisville surprised me by going 10-4, and 10-2 in the regular season.  What\u2019s the ceiling for \u201824?<\/strong>

2024 Louisville NCAAF AREAS TO WATCH:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My projected #\u2019s for Louisville were in the ballpark, but slightly lower than what was achieved.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, the Cardinals achieved a number of close victories, and at 1st<\/sup> glance, there could be a bit of regression?  I\u2019m predicting another good run offense, but still below last year\u2019s 5.1 per carry (4.65).  The OL might need some time to mesh.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Defensively, a number of pass rushers return, making them dangerous when facing average or worse OL\u2019s.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, I like the talent in the secondary.  Louisville didn\u2019t sit back in the offseason, with a reported 26 transfers brought in, of which nine of them are slated to start. <\/strong> This looks like a bit of an upgrade overall, but will be one area that I will chart early and often.

Somewhere around 8-4?  There\u2019s too much talent on this team to slide from last year\u2019s surprisingly smooth season.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, I\u2019m not a massive Jeff Brohm fan, and I can see them slipping once or twice when favored this year, just like what happened a year ago.<\/strong>  I don\u2019t have many keys to watch here, but the schedule is tricky in some spots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
