Oklahoma College Football 2024 Preview: What’s the Situation?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SEC?  I grew up when the Sooners were a Big Eight fixture.  This one puzzles me, despite the increased cash flow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024 Oklahoma NCAAF AREAS TO WATCH:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The parade of solid QB\u2019s will be challenged now, as touted, but unproven Jackson Arnold is the new guy.  I expect a spike in turnovers, and each college turnover is worth 3.75 points.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A solid lead RB is here, along with a highly rated freshman (Tatum) that I will be charting.  The OL was decimated, and nothing seems to be left.  The OG\u2019s have much promise, with the center having plenty of experience at SMU.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RT is raw, with the LT coming from Florida\/USC (20 starts).  I expect some growing pains, especially blocking for a raw QB.  The defensive #\u2019s were fine last year, although points allowed (26.6) in the Big 12 showed up a bit high.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s a potential coordinator upgrade, even though the new guys (Co-DC\u2019s) are young.  The top six tacklers return.  The switch to the SEC could impact some of the stats.  The senior PK was a bit erratic.

Oklahoma Football 2024 Predicted Total Wins Prediction<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

8-4 as a ceiling, and 7-5 the more likely result?  I play season win totals close to when they come out, because lines move quickly now.  I went UNDER 7.5, which after doing this write-up is one that could be in danger.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SEC road schedule (plus Texas) looks 1-4 to me, with a 2-3 ceiling.  They could split home games vs. Tennessee\/Alabama to reach 8-4, but I wonder if the OL will hold them back.  Watch QB play closely.
