The NFL Coach of the Year odds clearly show that predicting one is very difficult as it doesn’t go to the team with the best record or even who the NFL perceives to be the best coach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, the award generally goes to a coach whose team outperformed expectations or overcame multiple injuries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The New York Jets Robert Saleh doesn’t necessarily fit that bill, but he still has the 3rd best odds to win the award. In 2023, the Jets remained competitive and won seven games despite losing Aaron Rodgers in Week 1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now Rodgers is back, and New York added veterans Mike Williams and Tyron Smith to sure up the offense. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They should be significantly better in scoring, and they enter the season with a top five team defense according to PFF. The Jets have a solid shot at winning the AFC East and if that does happen, Saleh will be in the running for the Coach of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
