Auburn College Football 2024 Preview: What’s the Situation?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hugh Freeze had Auburn at 6-4 and off a three-game win streak.  In quite the roller coaster finish, they got clobbered by New Mexico State at home, and then should have upset Alabama.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After losing 31-10 when favored in their bowl game, the Tigers finished 6-7.  Now what? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024 Auburn NCAAF AREAS TO WATCH:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Auburn should have lost to Cal last year.  The rematch is at home.  History tells me NOTHING when Auburn and Arkansas play.  I expect year two improvement from the Tigers, but let\u2019s keep in mind that the coordinators are new.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game hosting Oklahoma is highly interesting.  Freeze is 11-5 ATS as a home dog, and just as good as a road dog, so I expect a close game.  Auburn does not have a home game in October (three road games, one week off).  I expect 1-2 to be the ceiling, and the game at Kentucky (the tightest one?) usually favors the home team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal is 4-4 at the very least now, with home games coming vs. Vandy, UL Monroe, and Texas A&M and their new staff.  Freeze lost at Texas A&M 27-10 a year ago.

4-1 may become 4-4, but I\u2019m thinking 7-5 first.  I believe they are improved, and Freeze is a good coach.  How they match up vs. Oklahoma is going to be the barometer for how \u201924 plays out. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
