Carlos Rondon takes the mound for the Yankees tonight tied for 3rd in most home runs given up on the season at 24 as they host the Rangers for a three-game set starting tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This spot bodes well for Marcus Semien to hit a home run who hit one in their last game against the Astros and has two separate instances this season with home runs in back-to-back games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s 5-17 with a home run all time against Rondon and is hitting .293 off lefties this season opposed to just a .228 average against righties. It\u2019s also worth noting that Semien\u2019s slugging percentage is over 100 points higher when facing lefties on the season as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a porous June, Semien increased his batting average by 85 points in July and hit four home runs last month as opposed to just two in June. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He already has two home runs in August and has hit 26+ home runs in each of the last three seasons including 45 for Toronto in 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Semien only has 17 home runs this season and although he\u2019ll likely fall short of 26 on the season, the power potential is always there for the Rangers lead off hitter. Take Semien to hit a home run at +500<\/strong> with Corey Seager being another viable option to hit a home run at +320<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
