Sacramento Kings vs Boston Celtics Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Celtics host the Kings tonight as Sacramento is struggling and involved in all types of trade rumors creating a lot of uncertainty. The Celtics have been .500 pretty much all season with nothing special yet nothing disastrous to speak of. They just kinda exist right now. Boston will be -8.5 favorite with a total of 220.5 and we\u2019ll attempt to dissect these team to find a strong play for tonight.<\/p>\n

Save Sacramento<\/h3>\n

Every year they just seem to be the same team. Bad record, the roster doesn\u2019t make sense and they\u2019re always involved in trade rumors. It might be Fox moving, it might be Haliburton moving, regardless it can\u2019t be good for team morale and they\u2019re 2-8 in their last 10 games as well as being 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 road games. Their defense is truly awful ranking third worst in defensive rating, and they\u2019ve given up 116 or more in five straight games. They\u2019re the worst team in the league defending guards, so expect a solid game from Jaylen Brown.<\/p>\n

Boston Celtics: A Betting Conundrum<\/h3>\n

I don\u2019t know what the most unpredictable, unbettable team is in the NBA, but the Celtics have to be top 5. They win a couple, then they lose a couple. They go over the total a couple games, they go under the total a couple times. They\u2019re a difficult team to figure out, and their 1-4 against the spread the last five home games, but they have to have a bit of momentum coming off of Tatum\u2019s 51 point game in the blowout win at Washington.<\/p>\n

They\u2019ve scored 104 or more in five out of seven games, but we\u2019ve seen them have an uptick in points against bottom defensive teams like Washington, Indiana and Chicago. Tatum and Brown went 2-13 from threes against a bad defensive team in Portland, but that shooting performance looks like an outlier and that takes me to my play for this game.<\/p>\n

Sacramento Kings vs Boston Celtics Prediction<\/h3>\n

I love the over 220 in this game due to Sacramento\u2019s pace and lack of defense. We look at Sacramento\u2019s last 5 games, and the totals are incredible. Against Milwaukee 260, 264 against Detroit, 230 and 240 against Houston and 241 against the Lakers. Sacramento has been doing their fair share of scoring, so it\u2019s not like they aren\u2019t contributing to these huge totals.<\/p>\n

They\u2019ve scored 127, 131, 112, 126 and 125 the last five games. Boston has averaged 108 points the last five, they should score more tonight as Sacramento won\u2019t have answers for Brown and Tatum, and with Sacramento\u2019s barrage of points added in they should fly over this total.<\/p>\n

PREDICTION: OVER 220.5<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sacramento Kings vs Boston Celtics Preview from GoldSheet<\/h2>\n

Sacramento has won three of the last four vs. Boston straight up and covered five straight dating to 2019, but current form might point to a reversal. The Kings have lost eight in a row straight up on the road, with the 133-127 cover at Milwaukee on Saturday being the first pointspread cover in Sacto\u2019s road losing streak.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Boston is just 2-7 against the points in its last nine at the TD Garden, lately, as the media sharks are circling the waters around the team approaching the trade deadline. The Kings rank 29th in the league in defensive efficiency on the road this season, probably a big part of the reason Sacto has gone 13-7 \u201cover\u201d away from home for the year.<\/p>\n

The other side is the Celtics going \u201cunder\u201d 11-3 last 14 at home, so would bank on Kings like De\u2019Aaron Fox (22 ppg, 51% last five games; nursing ankle injury so check status), Harrison Barnes (19 ppg & 52% L6), plus Tyrese Haliburton, Mavin Bagley III and Terence Davis combining for 48 ppg and shooting well over 50% as a group to continue to pad their stats and keep this one close.<\/p>\n
