We project the Tigers to be favored in ten of their 12 games for the upcoming season, but there are certainly a handful of coinflips. LSU does have a pair of well-positioned bye weeks prior to playing Ole Miss in October and Alabama in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Odds above courtesy of DraftKings as of Friday, July 26. Jayden Daniels became the second LSU quarterback in the last five years (Joe Burrow in 2019) to lift the Heisman Trophy. Garrett Nussmeier was fantastic in the Tigers’ bowl win over Wisconsin, going 31-of-45 for 395 yards and three touchdowns. Oddsmakers were certainly paying attention and have opened his Heisman odds at a very modest level for a player who does not carry a lot of on-field experience heading into this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DraftKings has released Games of the Year point spreads for six contests involving LSU this season. Generally speaking, our power ratings are in line with almost all of those games, with the exception of LSU’s trip to Arkansas. From a numbers perspective, we show about 3.5 points of value on the Tigers. However, that game comes after LSU hosts Ole Miss the week prior. It appears that oddsmakers have baked in some “letdown factor” into that line against the Razorbacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
