The Nets are coming off a one point win at Washington on Wednesday as they play their third straight road game this week, and we\u2019ll be looking to see if there\u2019s a way to profit off this game.<\/p>\n Life Without Durant<\/h3>\nBrooklyn is 2-2 without Durant, and honestly if they could remain .500 for his entire absence I think they would be happy with that. Throw all the season against the spread and over\/under records out the window for this team when doing handicapping, so we\u2019ll be looking at short term results.<\/p>\n The first game of this road trip they lost to the incredible Cleveland Cavaliers by seven when Irving and Harden were solid, but not amazing and the supporting cast didn\u2019t quite give them enough, and they won by one point against Washington in a game Harden struggled, but Kyrie and Aldridge were really good. Harden still hasn\u2019t quite looked 100% comfortable playing with Kyrie and he was 0-5 from three pointers on Wednesday, but that\u2019s an outlier game. He should have a nice game tonight against a Spurs team who struggle against guards.<\/p>\n Silent Spurs<\/h3>\nDo we ever hear anything from San Antonio? I know they play in the NBA, I see their scores, but I never see them on TV or hear anything from them. Anyways, they\u2019ve won two out of three\u2026against the Clippers and Thunder\u2026but they\u2019re only 3-6 since Jan. 5 when Dejounte Murray made his return. There\u2019s nothing exciting from an against the spread or over\/under perspective with this team, but look for Murray to have a good game tonight as Brooklyn struggles to contain guards.<\/p>\n Brooklyn Nets vs San Antonio Spurs Prediction<\/h3>\nI think the books have nailed this line as I can\u2019t find value on the spread or total. Both teams struggle to contain guards which sets up well for a Kyrie, Harden, Murray showcase. Claxton is a game time decision and if he doesn\u2019t go, that takes away a nice piece for Brooklyn. I don\u2019t have a strong opinion either way, but I would take a sprinkle on the Net\u2019s OVER team total 116.5.
