As a guard, Ionescu gets the majority of her rebounds on the defensive end, and she see plenty rebound chances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n With the spread, Ionescu could lose minutes due to a blowout but if that’s the case she should have had ample opportunities to collect both rebounds and assists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Los Angeles Sparks forward Dearica Hamby is averaging 10.7 rebounds per game on the season and she’s recorded 11+ rebounds in 9 of her 15 games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n However, now she faces a New York Liberty team that she’s failed to record more than 8 rebounds against in each of her last six games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Only three players have recorded 11+ rebounds against the Liberty this season and they all landed on 12, two of which were All-Star caliber players in Alyssa Thomas and Napheesa Collier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n However, not a SINGLE player has gone over this line on the Liberty’s home court. Cameron Brink is now out with a torn ACL which could potentially lead to more rebound chances for Hamby. <\/p>\n\n\n\n However, the 6’8″ Li Yueru is waiting in the wings to absorb those boards. Hamby has only recorded 5 and 8 rebounds in her last two games and the five rebound game was against a strong defense similar New York in the Connecticut Sun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n There is also the potential for a blowout that could limit Hamby’s minutes late in the game.
