2024 NBA Draft Prediction 1: Zaccharie Risacher #1 Overall Pick (+165 FanDuel as of June 18)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There isn\u2019t a clear cut #1 overall pick for this year\u2019s NBA Draft like there was last year when Victor Webenyama was the hands down best prospect in the draft and he showed it in his rookie year by leading the league in blocks per game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of this writing Alexandre Sarr is the favorite to go #1 to the Hawks in 2024, but Zaccharie Risacher has been climbing the ranks and could be the safer pick for Atlanta and would fill a bigger void as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Sarr has the higher upside standing at 7 ‘1 and a wingspan of 7’ 4 he\u2019s still a raw talent who played in west Australia most recently and just turned 19 two months ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He played 17 minutes per game for the Perth Wildcats averaging just under 10 ppg, 1.3 blocks per game and 4.5 rebounds per game. Not the most impressive stat line, but he\u2019d make a great successor to Clint Capela who is signed through next season and then becomes a free agent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hawks could draft Sarr and make moves at other positions with the increased funds once Capela is off the books after next season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other route the Hawks could take is drafting Risacher with the #1 overall pick who is a 6\u20199 small forward from France, but is even younger than Sarr turning 19 this August. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upside to Risacher is that he\u2019s played professionally in Europe the last three years so while younger than Sarr he has more experience under his belt, at least playing against pros wherever they are on the globe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Saddiq Bey a restricted free agent heading into this season and not to mention tearing his ACL last March, Risacher would essentially replace him in the rotation to some extent as a 3-and-D forward, shooting 42% from three-point range last season in Europe while scoring 11 ppg. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Sarr may have a higher upside, Risacher is much more versatile on both ends of the floor and his skill set fits more with today\u2019s NBA style of play than Sarr\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you plan on making a wager on the #1 overall pick in the NBA Draft, we recommend a play on Risacher to go #1 overall with the Hawks in more of a win-now mode than rebuilding and it\u2019s important to show the stars of the team like Trae Young, DeJounte Murray and others that the team is committed to building off of them rather than drafting Sarr who would likely play much less than Risacher this upcoming season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024 NBA Draft Prediction 2: Team To Draft Bronny James – Los Angeles Lakers (+150 FanDuel as of June 18)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s no secret across the NBA that a dream for LeBron James is to play with his son Bronny who is entering the 2024 NBA Draft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only two teams that Bronny has worked out for pre-draft were the Lakers and Suns and while reports state that the workouts went well, many NBA GMs have questioned whether or not Bronny is ready for the NBA stage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of this writing on June 18th you can still get plus-money odds for the Lakers to draft Bronny which is somewhat a head scratcher. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s not official but it\u2019s become pretty obvious that LeBron has a hand in team moves the Lakers make and if LA wants to keep LeBron past next season, they\u2019ll do good by him and draft Bronny likely with the 55th pick in the NBA Draft solidifying LeBron\u2019s status with the team after his current contract expires after next season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bronny\u2019s stats for USC last season aren\u2019t eye-popping, averaging just five ppg, three rpg and two apg, but that\u2019s in a season after suffering a heart attack in the off-season prior, starting just six games for the Trojans last season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we\u2019re comparing Bronny to current NBA stars, consider Jimmy Butler. Now we know Bronny isn\u2019t going to make an impact like Butler right away but Butler took time to develop, averaging just 5.5 ppg, four rpg and one apg in his first year at Marquette back in 08-09 and made a considerable leap his next season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We think Bronny showed enough at the Lakers workout and in the pre-draft combine to solidify LA either drafting him at #55 or perhaps trading up slightly if they feel they don\u2019t want to risk Bronny falling and another team drafting him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fact that Bronny chose not to workout for pretty much every team though should deter NBA team GMs and upper management from drafting him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
