YRFI Best Bet Today: New York Mets at Texas Rangers (-110)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Mets’ offense has picked up in June, and we are backing them in the first inning today. They are averaging 1.33 runs per game in the first over their last three games, so we expect them to get one across today. The Mets average .57 runs in the first frame when they are on the road, which is a solid increase, and we like this matchup. They face Jon Gray, which is a solid matchup. Gray has a .489 xSLG and a .308 xwOBA against the current Mets roster, making this a solid YRFI candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rangers are averaging .59 runs in the first frame, which is near the top of the MLB, and we like them today. At home, this number dips to .58 runs per first inning.
