Euro 2024 Winner and Top Goal Scorer Preview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Euro 2024 sees five teams enter the outright betting market being priced up at single digits, with eight teams coming in at, or below, the 20\/1 mark currently in what\u2019s set to be one of the most competitive, and perhaps unpredictable, European Championships in quite some time, especially with 16 teams now progressing through to the knockout rounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
England enters the market as the outright tournament favorites at current odds of +350. Recent World Cup finalists France come in as second favorites at odds of +450, with hosts Germany going in as third favorites at +500, and finally Portugal fourth at +700. Rounding out the last of the single-digit favorites is Spain at a consensus +800 right now at most books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The other three teams on the cusp of being just outside of that top group are defending champions Italy at +1600, the Netherlands priced up also at +1600 odds, and finally Belgium at a best price of +2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Below we\u2019re going to go through our selections for the upcoming tournament in both the outright winner market and top goalscorer market, as well as adding in some great value long shots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Euro 2024 Winner Prediction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
In terms of outright betting options for this tournament, we\u2019re going to immediately eliminate the top two favorites in this market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both England and France are deserved favorites to win this competition given their unmatched starting elevens, but the problem lies in that if this tournament progresses as it is expected to, then it\u2019s likely England and France will meet each other in the semi-final of this competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That takes both of those out of the equation in terms of a futures pick as that would effectively be a pick \u2018em game should it take place later in the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Germany at third are an interesting selection given they\u2019ll potentially be on the weaker side of the draw, and they do have massive home support to fall back on as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, while I do think Julian Nagelsmann is an elite coach and that he can bring out the best in these German players, for me, they just don\u2019t have enough strength in depth to rival the best teams in this competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That brings us on to fourth favorites Portugal who look like the best outright value to lift this trophy come July, just as they managed to do back in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Portuguese not only have a star-studded roster that predominately operates in the English Premier League, they also find themselves, if all goes according to plan, on the easier side of the draw, potentially avoiding the two big favorites of England and France in the semi-finals and not having to play a single group stage winner until the last four of this competition either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In terms of a bigger priced selection, Belgium looks like decent value here at odds of +2000. The Golden Generation may be all but over now for the Belgians, but so has the added pressure that goes along with it, and in former RB Leipzig manager Domenico Tedesco, they have a very tactically astute manager who is arguably an upgrade from Roberto Martinez, with the Red Devils record of not having lost a game since their 2022 World Cup group stage exit being testament to that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
