Group C of this year\u2019s Euros sees 2020 competition finalists England look to go one better this time around by winning the tournament outright, something both bookmakers and the public at large believe they have a real shot of doing currently priced up as the competition favorites ahead of kickoff on June 14th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facing them in this group is a team well known to England across recent tournaments in Denmark, with England knocking the Danes out in extra-time in the semi-final of Euro 2020, along with Serbia and Slovenia rounding out the group also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

England, to nobody’s great surprise, are the heavy favorites to top this group at current odds of -250, with Denmark sitting in second spot at +400, Serbia in third at odds of +800, and finally Slovenia coming in as the group outsiders at a price of +1200.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

England should for all intents and purposes be coming into this tournament as the defending champions after arguably giving away the final against Italy in London three years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luke Shaw gave the hosts the early lead in the opening minutes of that game with England looking in devastating form going forward before pragmatism took over from the bench and Gareth Southgate pulled his charges back, allowing Italy to build in confidence over the course of the game and equalize midway through the second half, subsequently going on to win and lift the trophy on penalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

England may have learned a harsh lesson in that final, and if they allow their offensive shackles to be let off here, this truly is an electric team going forward, able to utilize the talents of Europe’s top scorer Harry Kane, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Manchester City’s Phil Foden, as well as Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham also, as just a few of the names gracing this potent English lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a group that will pair two of the teams that battled through the qualifying route together, Denmark will once again face off against Slovenia in the battle to progress from this group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both Denmark and Slovenia finished on equal points in Group H of Euro 2024 qualifying, with the Slovenians owning the much better goal difference over Denmark, but unfortunately for them losing the head-to-head battle with a loss in Copenhagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite topping the group overall, Denmark were far from impressive over the course of that qualification run, losing to both Northern Ireland and Kazakhstan outright, and will need to improve drastically if they\u2019re going to challenge for a top spot in this group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
