| TV:<\/td> | Golf Channel, CBS<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n 2024 RBC Canadian Open Course: Hamilton Golf and Country Club (played here in 2012 and 2019)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is a short course for a PGA event as it\u2019s a Par 70 at 7100 yards, and even though they played here in 2019, the course is going to look different. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n The biggest difference is going to be around the greens as the grass has been cut short around the greens, and the big slopes will cause bad approaches quite a bit of runoff. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n The grass has been changed, and the bunkers have been made much tougher so quality scrambling and sand play will be important. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n The greens aren\u2019t that big, but the big slopes make approach shots difficult so accuracy off the tee will be key to set up the second shots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n There will be rain early in the week so on Thursday, expect the scores to be low. As mentioned, accuracy off the tee will be important, but if the bombers can drive the ball long and straight here, they will have short approaches, and don\u2019t be surprised if someone gets to -20 for a winning score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n 2024 RBC Canadian Open Field<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\nTop 10 Total Strokes Gaines Last Three Months<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nRory McIlroy 2.37

Cameron Young 1.14<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n 2024 RBC Canadian Open: Players That Can Trip You Up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\nShane Lowry<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nHe\u2019s coming off a 6th place finish at The PGA Championship, but make no mistake that his finish was a result of his insane 3rd round where he shot -9 after hitting many long birdie putts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n His putting wasn\u2019t that good the next day, and I think he\u2019s really overvalued here as the 4th highest favorite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n Outside of the -9 round, he was -5 the other three rounds combined. His tee-to-green numbers are good, but I don\u2019t think he\u2019s fixed his putting issues for good. He\u2019s too expensive for me this week, I won\u2019t be betting on him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n Nick Taylor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nI think people will want to bet on the defending Champ of the Canadian Open, but this is a different course from last year and Taylor doesn\u2019t have any Top 40 finishes in his last five tournaments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n His tee-to-green numbers are below average, and his around-the green strokes gained are -0.29 in the last three months, which could be a real problem at this course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n I think people will be on him because he\u2019s Canadian, and the defending Champion, but that\u2019s lazy handicapping, and I won\u2019t be betting on him as he\u2019s priced as a Top 20 golfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n Cameron Young<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nHe has some Top 10 finishes earlier in the season, but his last three finishes are 63, 34, and 62. His approach numbers are pretty bad recently as are his around the green numbers, and although he can hit the ball a long ways, it doesn\u2019t mean he can get the ball into birdie positions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n He\u2019s priced as a Top 6 golfer, and I don\u2019t think he has the short game to go really low on a course like this. I\u2019ll be staying away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n 2024 RBC Canadian Open: DraftKings Darlings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\nGary Woodland $6200<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nWoodland has made the cut in three straight tournaments, and in a watered down field I think he can make the cut again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n In the last 30 days, his around the green numbers are horrific, but his putting is through the roof so hopefully we can meet in the middle and get weekend points from Woodland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n SH Kim $6800<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nHe\u2019s made the cut in eight straight tournaments, and although he doesn\u2019t have a lot of upside, his putting and driving numbers are really good the last month. Again, it\u2019s a weak field so I don\u2019t understand why he\u2019s priced so low, but it\u2019s great value and a solid DFS option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n Adam Svensson $7300<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\nWe used him last week, and he delivered with a 24th place finish and that\u2019s now seven made cuts in a row. His putting is bad, but his approach numbers are great, and although he doesn\u2019t drive the ball far, that\u2019s not required for this course.
