The Mets have been hot in the first inning, averaging two runs per first inning over their last three games. We are fading this recent surge. Their run production in the first frame increased to .68 runs when they were on the road, but it is inflated due to their first-inning success in Miami this past weekend. The Mets&#8217; numbers look better on paper than they actually are, so this is a great NRFI target. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cleveland averages .45 runs per first frame, and though that number rises to .52 runs at home, we like the NRFI. The Guardians first inning numbers are also inflated from this weekend. They are averaging 1.33 runs in the first in their last three games, making this team seem better than they are at scoring in the first. Let's dive in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Best NRFI Bets Today - Free NRFI Picks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NRFI Prediction 1: New York Mets at Cleveland Guardians (-110)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The Mets are one of the worst first-inning teams in baseball, averaging .43 runs per first inning, and we are going with the under in today's interleague showdown. The Mets have been hot in the first inning, averaging two runs per first inning over their last three games. We are fading this recent surge. Their run production in the first frame increased to .68 runs when they were on the road, but it is inflated due to their first-inning success in Miami this past weekend. The Mets' numbers look better on paper than they actually are, so this is a great NRFI target. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Cleveland averages .45 runs per first frame, and though that number rises to .52 runs at home, we like the NRFI. The Guardians first inning numbers are also inflated from this weekend. They are averaging 1.33 runs in the first in their last three games, making this team seem better than they are at scoring in the first. The expected regression from both offenses makesw this a great NRFI target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NRFI Best Bet Today #2: Minnesota Twins at Washington Nationals (-110)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The Nationals are the best NRFI team in the MLB, putting up .22 runs per first frame. They are 1-2 to the NRFI in their last three games, and they score just .22 runs in the first at home. They are facing righty Pablo Lopez, who has been one of the best pitchers in the AL so far this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The Twins are averaging .50 runs in the first frame, which is middle of the pack, but they have been much worse on the road. So far this season, they are averaging .29 runs on the road. Lefty-handed rookie Mitchell Parker makes the start for Washington. He is hard to hit when he is on, and the Twins have never seen Waldron pitch before.
