division (122 lbs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet even those remarkable achievements aren\u2019t enough for some observers, with rumors circulating about a possible fight against Gervonta Davis or Shakur Stevenson at a catchweight, as well as a more realistic option to move to 126 lbs to chase his next undisputed run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whatever the future may hold for Inoue, we\u2019ve already seen the size disparity between himself and the likes of Stephen Fulton in the ring, with Marlon Tapales being able to eat a lot of straight shots from Inoue as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Super bantamweight may well be the ceiling where we finally see \u2018The Monster\u2019 settle down and make this division his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nery Looking For Redemption<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s fair to say that despite his obvious talent level, Luis Nery has had a few other major issues outside the ring that have derailed the star he arguably should have been.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Testing positive for a banned substance in his first fight against Shinsuke Yamanaka back in 2017, before then going on to miss weight entirely in the subsequent rematch, culminated in Nery suffering a 7th round stoppage at the hands of \u2018The Heartbreaker\u2019 Brandon Figueroa back in May 2021 due largely to his unprofessional attitude to the sport of boxing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Luis Nery has put together three stoppages since then from his last three fights, and with a multitude of experience fighting in Japan previously as the road fighter, may view this opportunity as a personal redemption arc for himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Naoya Inoue vs Luis Nery Expert Prediction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Luis Nery definitely shouldn\u2019t be underestimated ahead of this one as he has a tremendous toolkit of skills with which to frustrate the current P4P king in Japan on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nery\u2019s only loss up to this point was that stoppage defeat at the hands of Brandon Figueroa two years ago, but Brandon Figueroa is an extremely high-volume pressure fighter, whose relentless work rate in the ring simply overwhelmed Nery who couldn\u2019t cope with the constant pressure in that fight, eventually getting finished from a body shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s not Inoue\u2019s game however, and I\u2019m expecting more of a tactical type chess match from two extremely gifted fighters here on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nery has formidable power of his own, showcasing that to the Japanese public in his two knockout victories against former champion Shinsuke Yamanaka, with neither of those fights making it past the 4th round. two-division champion Luis Nery who is once again back on the comeback trail title-wise after losing his belt against Brandon Figueroa back in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Naoya Inoue enters Monday\u2019s contest as the -1400 favorite, with Luis Nery coming back as a +800 underdog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inoue Arguably Reaching His Peak<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Not only is Naoya Inoue reaching his peak right now in terms of being in his physical prime, turning 31 three weeks ago, but he\u2019s arguably reached his peak in terms of the number of weight classes he can potentially go through moving forward as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Inoue started his boxing career, and won his first world title, all the way down at junior flyweight (108 lbs), but since then has gone through an additional four weight classes in his pursuit of becoming the best in the sport, culminating in his current status as the 'King of the Super Bantamweight' division (122 lbs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Yet even those remarkable achievements aren\u2019t enough for some observers, with rumors circulating about a possible fight against Gervonta Davis or Shakur Stevenson at a catchweight, as well as a more realistic option to move to 126 lbs to chase his next undisputed run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Whatever the future may hold for Inoue, we\u2019ve already seen the size disparity between himself and the likes of Stephen Fulton in the ring, with Marlon Tapales being able to eat a lot of straight shots from Inoue as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Super bantamweight may well be the ceiling where we finally see \u2018The Monster\u2019 settle down and make this division his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nery Looking For Redemption<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s fair to say that despite his obvious talent level, Luis Nery has had a few other major issues outside the ring that have derailed the star he arguably should have been.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Testing positive for a banned substance in his first fight against Shinsuke Yamanaka back in 2017, before then going on to miss weight entirely in the subsequent rematch, culminated in Nery suffering a 7th round stoppage at the hands of \u2018The Heartbreaker\u2019 Brandon Figueroa back in May 2021 due largely to his unprofessional attitude to the sport of boxing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>However, Luis Nery has put together three stoppages since then from his last three fights, and with a multitude of experience fighting in Japan previously as the road fighter, may view this opportunity as a personal redemption arc for himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Naoya Inoue vs Luis Nery Expert Prediction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Luis Nery definitely shouldn\u2019t be underestimated ahead of this one as he has a tremendous toolkit of skills with which to frustrate the current P4P king in Japan on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Nery\u2019s only loss up to this point was that stoppage defeat at the hands of Brandon Figueroa two years ago, but Brandon Figueroa is an extremely high-volume pressure fighter, whose relentless work rate in the ring simply overwhelmed Nery who couldn\u2019t cope with the constant pressure in that fight, eventually getting finished from a body shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s not Inoue\u2019s game however, and I\u2019m expecting more of a tactical type chess match from two extremely gifted fighters here on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Nery has formidable power of his own, showcasing that to the Japanese public in his two knockout victories against former champion Shinsuke Yamanaka, with neither of those fights making it past the 4th round.
