NRFI Prediction 1: Miami Marlins at New York Yankees NRFI (-110)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

AJ Puk, the Marlins starter today, has had issues with walks starting his season, making him susceptible to YRFIs. However, given the matchup today, we would like Puk to do his part against the Yankees and help this game go under half a run in the first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Yankees have only scored .27 runs in the first inning so far this season, and they have had a tough time getting going early against left-handed pitching. Miami is scoring 1.36 runs in the first inning, but this number is inflated by one six-run first inning against the Cardinals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miami has struggled to hit lefties this season, and tonight, they open against lefty Carlos Rodon. Rodon is 1-1 to the NRFI this season, but the lineup that scored against him, the Astros, is much scarier than the Marlins lineup he is facing tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NRFI Best Bet Today #2: Philadelphia Phillies at St. Louis Cardinals NRFI (-130)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Zack Wheeler, the Phillies’ ace, starts tonight in St. Louis. Wheeler is 2-0 to the NRFI this season. The Cardinals lineup only produces .27 runs per game in the first inning, making this a great matchup for the right-handed ace tonight on the road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sonny Gray makes his first start of the season, and he’s in a great spot for a NRFI as well. The Phillies are averaging .7 runs in the first inning, but their lineup today has just a .259 xwOBA against Gray in their career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
