Yordan Alvarez (HOU) +280<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Yordan Alvarez, one of the premier power hitters in the sport, has not gone long yet this season. Tonight, he faces a foe he has had a lot of success against in the past. Yordan Alvarez has five hits against Blue Jays’ starter Chris Bassitt, and four of them were long balls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bassitt finished last season 13th in HR\/9, allowing 1.26 home runs per nine innings. He already allowed a home run to lefty Brandon Lowe. Last season, Bassitt allowed 21 of his 28 home runs to left-handed batters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yordan Alvarez hits lefties and righties at the same clip, so there is no concern about a lefty-lefty matchup later in the game. Houston plays in one of the most hitter-friendly environments in the MLB, so Alvarez should be able to get on the board today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
