Only WR DeVonta Smith was a force as Tampa won every meaningful statistical category. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Buccaneers like to run Rachaad White (18-72), who has played better as discussed last week. The Buc\u2019s run D was stout, but they lack a shut down pass D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Detroit Lions Wildcard Game Takeaways<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Both QB\u2019s impressed me with their poise, but in the end, this game was won by how drives in the red zone played out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I noted last week that the LA Rams had attempted 43 field goals, and that was NOT a good thing. The Lions only attempted 21. Both teams reached the red zone three times, but the Rams settled for a trio of field goals, while the Lions turned these opportunities into touchdowns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lions and Dan Campbell made only one tactical mistake in this game (LA with at least three, including timeout usage), but they did get conservative during a large part of the second half. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They prevailed, but I\u2019d call this game dead even. Detroit was one uncalled penalty away from a possible defeat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Detroit Lions Prediction: The PICK <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Detroit beat Tampa 20-6 at Tampa. The Bucs were held to 205 yards. Only WR\u2019s Godwin and Evans had decent games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mayfield was just 19-37, while Goff was 30-44 for 353 yards. St. Brown caught 10 for 124 yards. The rematch is in Detroit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tampa\u2019s 1st concern has to be playing better vs. the pass. The 2nd concern is their run game, which while improved, gets a pretty stiff test in this spot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 3rd concern is Baker\u2019s pass %, which might not improve much in the rematch. The line (Lions -6) seems a tad high, but not enough to make Tampa a Power Play. I like the grit on display from Baker and Tampa, but this does look like a tough matchup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Repeating what I said last week, there\u2019s no reason for the Lions to get cute in this spot. The Buc\u2019s run D was stout, but they lack a shut down pass D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Detroit Lions Wildcard Game Takeaways<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Both QB\u2019s impressed me with their poise, but in the end, this game was won by how drives in the red zone played out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>I noted last week that the LA Rams had attempted 43 field goals, and that was NOT a good thing. The Lions only attempted 21. Both teams reached the red zone three times, but the Rams settled for a trio of field goals, while the Lions turned these opportunities into touchdowns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The Lions and Dan Campbell made only one tactical mistake in this game (LA with at least three, including timeout usage), but they did get conservative during a large part of the second half. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>They prevailed, but I\u2019d call this game dead even. Detroit was one uncalled penalty away from a possible defeat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Detroit Lions Prediction: The PICK <\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Detroit beat Tampa 20-6 at Tampa. The Bucs were held to 205 yards. Only WR\u2019s Godwin and Evans had decent games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Mayfield was just 19-37, while Goff was 30-44 for 353 yards. St. Brown caught 10 for 124 yards. The rematch is in Detroit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Tampa\u2019s 1st concern has to be playing better vs. the pass. The 2nd concern is their run game, which while improved, gets a pretty stiff test in this spot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The 3rd concern is Baker\u2019s pass %, which might not improve much in the rematch. The line (Lions -6) seems a tad high, but not enough to make Tampa a Power Play. I like the grit on display from Baker and Tampa, but this does look like a tough matchup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Repeating what I said last week, there\u2019s no reason for the Lions to get cute in this spot.
