Atletico Madrid firmly kept the pressure on at the top of the table with another victory against Deportivo Alaves on Sunday, their sixth straight win in the league, and they’ll look to add a seventh on Friday against a similarly newly-promoted Las Palmas team.<\/p>\n

Las Palmas for their part have pretty much surprised everyone to start this season given how well they\u2019re doing in the league, currently sitting top ten overall with Garcia Pimienta continuing to build from last season\u2019s promotion.<\/p>\n

Most surprising has been a defense for Las Palmas that ranks top three in the league this year in terms of goals allowed, only marginally behind Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in that regard, and sitting ahead of Barcelona.<\/p>\n

However, while Las Palmas have been watertight at the back, especially at home where they\u2019ve allowed just three goals all season, that\u2019s where the good news ends for the islanders as in attack, Los Amarillos have really struggled to perform this year, owning the fewest goals scored in LaLiga this season, as well as ranking 2nd from bottom in offensive xG also.<\/p>\n

While their defense has been solid, Las Palmas have nevertheless failed to keep a single clean sheet across any of their last five league games, so Atletico shouldn’t be denied here with little, if anything, coming back at them on the other side.<\/p>\n

Take Atletico Madrid to win to nil at a healthy price against Las Palmas over in the Estadio de Gran Canaria on Friday.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Atletico Madrid to win to nil (+175)<\/h3>\n

Celta Vigo vs Sevilla | Saturday November 4 | 1:30pm ET<\/h2>\n

Important battle down towards the bottom of the table on Saturday as relegation-battling Celta Vigo hosts a similarly struggling Sevilla side over at the Estadio de Baladios this weekend.<\/p>\n

Both teams have been in some pretty miserable form domestically this season posting just three wins combined, but will no doubt look towards Saturday\u2019s game as a way to remedy that and put some distance between themselves and the danger zone as a result.<\/p>\n

For Sevilla, this is nothing new as they sat locked in the relegation zone at this same stage last year, although the hopes that lessons would have been learned from that have sadly not been the case.<\/p>\n

For Celta Vigo, who also struggled massively last season, being one of only two teams yet to win a game at home this season is simply unacceptable, especially in the centenary year of the club with a manager as experienced as Rafael Benitez at the helm.<\/p>\n

Both teams could badly do with a win here, but it\u2019s likely given their respective struggles this season that both teams would settle for a point here also, and at current odds of +240, that\u2019s the way we\u2019re going to look in this one.<\/p>\n

Valencia vs Granada | Sunday November 5 | 10:15am ET<\/h2>\n

Valencia, a team who narrowly avoided the drop from LaLiga last season, have started things off in much better fashion this year, currently sitting 9th in the league overall and are unbeaten in three straight games also.<\/p>\n

However, Los Che’s form has dipped over the last few weeks, with just five points gained from a possible fifteen across their last five games, so Ruben Baraja\u2019s men will no doubt target this matchup as a return to form this weekend.<\/p>\n

For Granada, it\u2019s been a difficult start to the season overall for the newly-promoted club, languishing down in the relegation zone as they are, generating just one win all season.<\/p>\n

A major issue for Granada has been a defense that has allowed a massive 2.55 GAPG to opponents at the back this year (an even higher 2.80 GAPG away from home also), as well as a defense that sits second from bottom in terms of total shots allowed, and second from bottom in opponent goals from open play also.<\/p>\n

Valencia have already proven their credentials this season at home by handily beating Atletico Madrid here back in September, and while they\u2019ve slipped up in games as well, inside the Mestalla is usually where Valencia are at their best, and we see them simply being too strong for an over-matched Granada team this weekend.<\/p>\n

Take Valencia on the outright money line on Sunday to get the home victory against Granada.<\/p>\n
