However, Harper has also been walked 11 times in those 9 games with 2 walks in each of the three games he fell short. You have to wonder, when will the Diamondbacks decide to keep the bat out of Harpers hands and make someone else beat them?<\/p>\n
Arizona Diamondbacks spot starter Joe Mantiply finished the 2023 regular season campaign with a 2-2 record, 4.62 ERA and 28 strikeouts across 39 innings of mostly relief work.<\/p>\n
He has been flawless against Harper, holding him to 0-4 throughout his career. Mantiply may only face Harper once, so it will be on the bullpen to neutralize Harper.<\/p>\n
