Starting QB Jalon Daniels did not play (back), but backup Jason Bean has seen plenty of playing time in his college career and threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns in the win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jayhawks&#8217; defensive coordinator Brian Borland also missed the game because of a medical procedure. Daniels has returned to practice this week and is expected to return against the Illini, and that is reflected in the point spread with the Jayhawks opening as a 3-point home favorite over the visitors from the Big Ten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kansas played on Friday last week, so the Jayhawks have had some extra time to prepare.
