They\u2019re one of if not the most disappointing team in the MLB this season but Pete Alonso is still playing for pride now up to 41 home runs on the season after hitting two on Sunday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today the Mets get the Nationals sending lefty Patrick Corbin to the mound in which Alonso is 14-43 with five home runs against him in his career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In general Alonso has hit better against lefties this season batting .234 with a .573 slugging percentage compared to a .221 average and .509 slugging percentage against righties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alonso hits better away from Citi Field which will be the case tonight batting .246 with a .574 slugging percentage compared to just a .202 average and .474 slugging percentage at home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corbin allows righties to bat .303 on the season and he\u2019s given up 24 of his 27 total home runs to right handed batters on the season as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take Alonso to hit a home run today at +300 with other Mets hitters to look at for a home run include <strong>Francisco Alvarez (+450)<\/strong> and <strong>Francisco Lindor (+320)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Christian Walker  (+400)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Christian Walker has had solid success against Rockies starter Kyle Freeland over recent history going 7-28 with two home runs in his career as the Colorado lefty takes the mound again tonight in Arizona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Freeland gave up 11 home runs across six starts in August sporting a 6.42 ERA for the month.
