The Grizzlies improved to 23-14 after a 118-105 victory at home over the San Antonio Spurs. Meanwhile the Nets record dropped to 23-11 after allowing the short-handed Los Angeles Clippers to steal a 120-1116 win on Saturday.<\/p>\n This will be the first of two head-to-head meetings between these teams who will meet again in late March.<\/p>\n Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies have been on fire recently and will be looking for a 5th straight victory on Monday night. Morant led the way in his last game against the Spurs with 30 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds. During the 4 game win streak Morant has averaged over 30 points per game.<\/p>\n The Grizz have a handful of players that are under health and safety protocols, most importantly Dillon Brooks who is questionable for Monday nights contest. If Brooks is out that will further weaken a below average defense. The Grizz boast the leagues 7th ranked scoring offense with 111 points a game.<\/p>\n The Brooklyn Nets have dropped their past two games and fallen a game behind the Chicago Bulls for top record in the Eastern Conference. James Harden had an outstanding performance last time out with 34 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds. Kevin Durant also added 28 points, but the Nets still fell to 0-2 since he returned from a three game absence in health and safety protocols.<\/p>\n The Nets have struggled with injuries and Covid throughout the season, however now they are relatively healthy. The teams top four scorers are all good to go for Monday night against Memphis. Brooklyn ranks 11th in scoring offense and 14th in scoring defense. The Nets may have added motivation after an embarrassing loss to the Clippers G-Leaguers.<\/p>\n The Nets are 6.5-point favorites with an over\/under of 228.5 points. The over is 4-0 in the Nets last four home games and 8-2 in the Grizz last 10 overall. I’m having trouble picking a side. I do lean Grizz with the points, but fear this will be the game where the Nets click and cover.
