Notre Dame vs. Navy (2:30 PM ET, NBC) This is the game that everyone will be talking about. Notre Dame is ranked No. 13 in the preseason poll, while Navy is always a tough out. The game will be played in Dublin, Ireland, so it will be a unique experience for both teams. 2. USC vs. San Jose State (8:00 PM ET, Pac-12 Network) USC is looking to build on its 11-3 season in 2022, and the Trojans will be led by reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams. San Jose State is a solid Mountain West team, but the Spartans will have their hands full with the Trojans. 3. Ohio vs. San Diego State (7:00 PM ET, FS1) This is a battle of two Group of Five teams that are expected to contend for their conference titles. Ohio is coming off a 10-win season, while San Diego State went 9-4 in 2022. 4. South Carolina State vs. Jackson State (7:30 PM ET, ABC) This is the first meeting between these two HBCU programs. South Carolina State is the defending SWAC champion, while Jackson State is led by Deion Sanders. 5. Hawaii vs. Vanderbilt (7:30 PM ET, SEC Network) Hawaii is always a dangerous team on the road, and the Rainbow Warriors will be looking to start their season off with a win. Vanderbilt is coming off a disappointing 2-10 season, but the Commodores will be eager to improve in 2023. In addition to the games mentioned above, here are some other things to keep an eye on in Week 0: The debut of new head coaches: There are a number of new head coaches in college football this season, including Billy Napier at Florida, Brian Kelly at LSU, and Lincoln Riley at USC. It will be interesting to see how these coaches fare in their first games. The transfer portal: The transfer portal has been a major story in college football in recent years, and it will be interesting to see how it affects the games in Week 0.
