Offensively, a solid QB and three OL returnees are in pace.&nbsp; Defensively, the top three pass rushers are back.&nbsp; This is a must watch.&nbsp; The other worry offensively is at WR, with the leading returnee having just 18 receptions.&nbsp; Each level defensively lost two players with eight or more starts.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pass defense percentage has been high in each of the past three seasons.&nbsp; Why hasn\u2019t this program risen to the level of a top tier AAC stat sheet?&nbsp; In their best two seasons (different coaching staff) the offense excelled, but not the defense.&nbsp; Memphis is used to fielding strong special team units.&nbsp; The latest coordinator was let go, which is a bit puzzling.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new guy oversaw more modest results at Buffalo.&nbsp; A decent PK (projection) is in, but he replaces a guy who was 21-24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Memphis 2023 Predictions, Memphis Tigers Schedule:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Memphis should start 3-0, with games 4-5 before the bye week in St Louis to face Missouri and home to Boise.&nbsp; The games after the week off are all inside the AAC.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can the Tigers continue to win at home in the Tulane series?&nbsp; They are historically not a good home favorite (30-50 ATS, 4-8 with this coach).&nbsp; They\u2019ll likely be favored in road games at UAB and North Texas, both schools sporting new coaches.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their final four games are also vs. 1<sup>st<\/sup> or 2<sup>nd<\/sup> year coaches.&nbsp; Strangely enough, this staff is just 3-11 in road games.&nbsp; It will be interesting to chart \u201923 results, as showing little to no stat improvement vs. so many new coaching staffs can\u2019t be taken as a good sign<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Memphis Tigers Football Bottom Line: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>8-4 is clearly in play, as is a berth in the AAC title game, but I may opt for 7-5 based on what I see are flaws with the staff, and concerns with the special team unit.&nbsp; QB Henigan is good enough to exceed 7-5, but if he gets hurt, there\u2019s no one in reserve (keep that in mind).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Memphis Tigers Football <strong>HANDICAPPING TIP<\/strong>: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is one team I will miss from tier one evaluations, but either a conference is all in or all out with individual team sheets (26-9 ATS last ten years, just 1-2 last year).&nbsp;
