Boise State Football Preview 2023: <\/strong>Boise State Picks for Betting<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Boise State finished 7-5 in 2021, their worst record since way back in 1998.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I felt 9-3, and a title game appearance would be the floor in 2022.\u00a0 That was achieved.\u00a0 Boise has been to five of the last six conference title games, but last won the title in 2019.\u00a0 They\u2019re the favorite to win the title in 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boise State Football Predictions: AREAS TO WATCH<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Taylen Green jump-started the offense once inserted into the lineup.\u00a0 He\u2019s a dual threat, and combined with a practically intact RB and WR unit, the offense looks good.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One warning: He must stay healthy!\u00a0 The defense loses three of their top four tacklers as well as a high percent of their sack total.\u00a0 Only five starters return, but those who left were not high impact players (a pair of 6th<\/sup> round draft choices).\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My projections are weaker however, as no transfers were added.\u00a0 I have the pass defense percentage projected at a solid 55.5%.\u00a0 Last year\u2019s figure was 51.5%, and an incredible 42+% in conference play.\u00a0 Boise lost their stellar special team coordinator a year ago.\u00a0 Last year\u2019s unit took a tumble way down in the overall rankings, but their PK was solid (23-27).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boise State 2023 Predictions, Boise State Schedule:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Boise opens with a tough game at Washington.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slowing down that offense won\u2019t be easy, but Boise State\u2019s skilled position players could surprise the Huskies defense.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boise lost a late lead at UCF in 2021.\u00a0 This game, as well as the next one vs. 7-4 North Dakota offer up more intrigue.\u00a0 There\u2019s really no rest spot for the Broncos until their mid-October bye week.\u00a0 Games at SD St are never easy.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Memphis hosts Boise State the following week and that bowl squad has the scheduling edge.\u00a0 Both SJ St and (at) Colorado State are games that Boise State can\u2019t let down in.\u00a0 Boise State has title game revenge on 11\/4 when they play at Fresno.\u00a0 Win that, and it might already be enough to send Boise back to the title game.\u00a0 If the loss isn\u2019t damaging, then the finale hosting Air Force could be very important<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boise State Football Bottom Line: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps a shakier start than people think, unless QB Green is just that good.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 2-1 mark at SD St, at Fresno and home to Air Force probably has them as the \u201chome team\u201d in the conference title game.\u00a0 9-3 looks about right<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boise State Football HANDICAPPING TIP<\/strong>: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As long as Green stays healthy, Boise State Football is always a threat to cover spreads.\u00a0 If he goes down, I\u2019m likely to go in fade mode until proven otherwise.\u00a0 I might try 1-2 vs. plays early in the year<\/p>\n\n\n\n
