Florida International vs Louisiana Tech Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Florida International was expected to be one of the worst teams in college football last season, but as Louisiana Tech found out, the Panthers had some bite to them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Florida International pulled outright upset wins over New Mexico State as a 16-point ‘dog, Charlotte as a 14-point ‘dog and La Tech as a 6.5-point ‘dog in double overtime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bulldogs had won the prior four meetings between these two squads, but a big day from Florida International quarterback Grayson James (300+ passing yards, 3 TDs and no INTs) was enough to snap the streak last year in Miami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Louisiana Tech Football Preview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Conference-USA will have a much different look this season, and Louisiana Tech wasted no time in trying to make a splash. Head coach Sonny Cumbie is in his second season at the helm, and he attracted plenty of offensive firepower to Ruston. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former Boise State QB Hank Bachmeier is expected to get the start, and he’ll be joined by former Nebraska WR Decoldest Crawford. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The over went 8-3-1 in Louisiana Tech’s games last season as oddsmakers struggled to keep up with the fast-paced Bulldogs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Power Five talent like Bachmeier and Crawford, Cumbie’s offense should remain one of the best in the conference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The questions will come on the other side of the ball where Louisiana Tech will only return four starters on a defense that gave up nearly 470 yards per game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Florida International Football Preview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mike MacIntyre’s Florida International squad exceeded expectations last season. The Panthers were an underdog in every FBS game they played last year, including nine games where they were receiving at least 13 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They pulled off three outright upsets, but the Panthers’ defense is going to have to take another leap if Florida International is going to be competitive in the conference this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Florida International vs Louisiana Tech Week 0 Prediction <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Panthers gave up at least 30 points in ten of their 12 games last season, including 52 to Florida Atlantic, 52 to North Texas and 73 to Western Kentucky. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his first head coaching stop, MacIntyre took a 1-12 San Jose State team to 5-7 in his second year. A similar turnaround is not completely out of the question in Miami this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
