The defensive numbers in 2022 were decent, but not top 15 decent.&nbsp; Maybe that gets better now, and I\u2019ll be checking the early results.&nbsp; There\u2019s competition at PK, which is a good thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Florida State 2023 Predictions, FSU Schedule:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>FSU barely hung on to beat a raw LSU team in 2022.&nbsp; LSU is much more seasoned, and this game (in Orlando) should be a good one (Sunday Night opener).&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Expectations are that FSU will defeat BC at their place, but that game is right before they stay on the road to face Clemson, so they better be focused.&nbsp; There\u2019s a well-placed bye week after Clemson, so no letdown should exist, especially knowing that even if they lose that game, 7-1 likely gets them into the ACC title game.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While Syracuse and Duke are decent teams, both must come to Tallahassee.&nbsp; FSU has lost two straight at Wake, and also lost 31-21 hosting Wake last year.&nbsp; Again, FSU will have to stay on the road after that to face a dangerous Pitt team.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pitt thrives in the role of home underdog, so these two games may only result in a split, even if FSU\u2019s squad this year looks to be their best in quite some time.&nbsp; Next up is the rivalry game hosting Miami.&nbsp; FSU does get the schedule edge and \u201cshould\u201d win.&nbsp; FSU as usual will close the year with Florida, with the game at their place.&nbsp; I expect the Gators to be a dangerous running team, but if all goes well, FSU\u2019s offense will have the edge over Florida\u2019s defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Florida State Football Bottom Line: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>FSU finally showed signs of regaining past glory with their 2<sup>nd<\/sup> half of the season win streak, and their Power Number ended up in the top 15, proving that it wasn\u2019t an accident.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>10-2, and an ACC title game berth is clearly the goal.&nbsp; It\u2019s attainable if the defense shows a bit more improvement and the kicking game does not let them down.<\/strong>&nbsp;
