Kalen Deboer hit the ground running with Washington. Only Oregon State held this offense down, although the referees tried to help (and did). 11-2 was outstanding. They are clearly in the mix to make the Pac 12 title game<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Football Predictions: AREAS TO WATCH<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

RB Taulapapa and his 6.3 per carry average departs but some talent returns, and they added a three-down back in Mississippi State’s Dillon Johnson<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The WR room could be the Pac 12\u2019s best<\/strong>. The OL allowed just seven sacks in 13 games. The unit is down a bit but that still leaves room for them to be very good. Two players along the DL are future NFL starters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sacks almost doubled with the new staff and I expect more of the same. Last year was the 6th year in a row that the pass D was 61% or higher (62.5%). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think it rises a bit this season, partly due to the QB talent they will face. Washington football has games against the other four top-rated conference teams<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That puts close game kicking in play, and the Huskies lost a good one. The replacement was their kickoff guy a year ago and he was not a deep kicker. This is a weekly watch area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Football <\/strong>2023 Predictions, Washington Schedule:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Boise, Utah and USC were not on last year\u2019s schedule, which means there will be tougher challenges. They also play at Michigan State, a team they beat 39-28 a year ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5-0 heading into their host of Oregon is doable<\/strong>, but I wouldn\u2019t be shocked if they lost one of the non-conference games. The remaining tough games are all in November. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They travel to USC<\/strong>, host Utah, and travel to Oregon State<\/strong>. The only checks I\u2019ll be making is with the OL and the kicking game. Washington closes with a host of Washington State, which should be a game they win<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Football Bottom Line: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Another team with a 10-2 shot<\/strong>, but my grid is lower (9-3 or even 8-4) with the schedule bump. To participate in the PAC 12 title game, they need to be at least 7-2 in Pac 12 play, and then rely on tiebreakers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think they won\u2019t slip up vs. the lower-level teams<\/strong>, leaving us Oregon (50%), at USC (40%), Utah (65-70%) and at Oregon State (50%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Football HANDICAPPING TIP<\/strong>: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I took UCLA vs. them last year (win) and that was it until the bowl win vs. Texas. I have no early suggestions\/leans<\/strong> for Washington Football<\/strong> now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
