He\u2019s currently riding a streak of 27 straight starts not allowing a first inning run dating back to last season! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obviously Schmidt hasn\u2019t been THAT great but he still hasn\u2019t allowed a first inning run in 17 of his 23 starts on the season including four straight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This NRFI play really only hinges on Clark being able to get out of the first inning as the Braves are the best first inning scoring team in the MLB. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We could be seeing a little regression there as they\u2019ve played to a NRFI in seven of their last 12 games. The Yankees have played to a NRFI in five of their last six games. Look for a <strong>Yankees vs Braves NRFI tonight with odds listed at +102<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NRFI Prediction 2: Orioles vs Padres (-125)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Orioles continue their west coast trip tonight in San Diego riding back-to-back wins but have only scored eight runs total in their last three games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They send Grayson Rodriguez to the mound who hasn\u2019t allowed a first inning run in 11 of his 15 total starts including eight straight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yu Darvish gets the start for the home Padres not allowing a first inning run in 17 of his 21 total starts and riding six straight not allowing one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Padres haven\u2019t played to a NRFI since last Tuesday with the Orioles riding back-to-back NRFI games heading into tonight\u2019s interleague matchup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Diego is fighting for their playoff lives with the Orioles looking to pull away from the Rays in the AL East so expect both pitchers to be locked in out of the gates.
