<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Offensively, the run game could rebound some, but I don\u2019t see a go-to RB on the roster like in the past.&nbsp; The system is good but the talent is hardly elite.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Defensively, it\u2019s a good thing that one-year coordinator Derrick Mason is gone, but all eyes will be on his Division II replacement, Byran Nardo.&nbsp; With eight of their top ten tacklers gone, many JUCO\u2019s will be on my watch list.&nbsp; With only ten (approximately) returning starters, <strong>this on paper is not their best team<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Oklahoma State<strong> <\/strong>2023 Predictions, Cowboys Schedule:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The good news is the conference schedule, which may be the easiest of all the teams.&nbsp; They do not play Texas, TCU or Baylor, and do play all four new Big 12 members.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Playing at ASU (massive roster turnover, young staff) \u201cshould\u201d be a win, as should a home game vs. a good team (South Alabama) that is stepping up in class.&nbsp; The conference opener at ISU is huge.&nbsp; It\u2019s been a closely contested series at their place, and I expect the same in 2023.&nbsp; It\u2019s a bonus that the Cowboys have two weeks to prepare for K St as they try to avenge a humbling 48-0 defeat.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Revenge is the theme the next month when they host Kansas, travel to WV, and after hosting Cincy, host Oklahoma in what is certain to be an emotionally charged game.&nbsp; T<strong>he schedule is great, but how good is the team?&nbsp; It&#8217;s my task to figure that out.&nbsp; Avoiding a letdown when going to UCF is agenda item #1 after facing Oklahoma.&nbsp; OK St closes at Houston and home to BYU.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Oklahoma State Football Bottom Line: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite underachieving in 2022, Oklahoma State still went 6-1 at home, continuing its stellar home field play.&nbsp; Winning on the road will be the key to achieving 8-4 or higher, a task that is achievable mostly due to the weaker schedule.&nbsp; My watch areas are the run game, the new DC and the incoming JUCO\u2019s.&nbsp;
