Pitcher Prop Prediction 1: Brayan Bello Over 17.5 (-165)<\/h2>\n

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Brayan Bello has been lights out since the beginning of May with a 2.41 ERA and 56 strikeouts across 67.2 innings of work.<\/p>\n

The youngster has consistently ramped up his longevity and has pitched 6+ innings in his last six and 7 of his last 8 starts. Bello has a 55.8% ground ball percentage thanks to a sinkerball that he uses 34.2% of the time.<\/p>\n

The Chicago Cubs have the 4th highest groundball rate against right-handed pitching this season. They also rank below average across the board against right-handers at 19th in wOBA and ISO on the season and 26th in those categories since June 1st.<\/p>\n

Obviously, the Boston bullpen is primed for action after the break, but Bello is a young pitcher that the Red Sox management has come to trust. Look for them to lean on him to preserve the bullpen for later in the weekend.<\/p>\n\n

Pitcher Prop Prediction 2: Eduardo Rodriguez U17.5 (-120) <\/span><\/h2>\n

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez is having a solid season with 4-5 record, 2.64 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 74 strikeouts across 71.2 innings pitched. However, Rodriguez has fallen short of pitching a full six innings in three of his last four starts.<\/p>\n

He is also coming off a brutal outing before the break where he allowed five earned runs on six hits including two home runs across only four innings against a weak Oakland Athletics team.<\/p>\n

Admittedly, the Seattle Mariners aren’t a top-notch team against southpaws as they rank 20th in ISO and 24th in wOBA. However, E-Rod has struggled against the majority of the Mariners lineup throughout his career.<\/p>\n

Teoscar Hernandez leads the way going 8-19 with 3 home runs against Rodriguez. JP Crawford is 5-12 with two doubles, Julio Rodriguez is 1-2 with a home run and Ty France is 3-14 with a home run.<\/p>\n

Like every team in the MLB, the Tigers pen will be completely fresh coming off the break and they won’t be looking to overextend a pitcher with a history of injuries.<\/p>\n\n
