NRFI Prediction 1: Cubs vs Brewers (-122)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Marcus Stroman gets the start against Freddy Peralta today as the Brewers attempt to split the 4-game set with the Cubs concluding today at 2:10pm ET. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stroman hasn\u2019t allowed a first inning run in 16 of his 18 starts on the season and hasn\u2019t allowed one in eight straight starts. Peralta has been solid as well not allowing a first inning run in 13 of his 16 starts including five straight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first three games have played to a NRFI in this series with the Cubs playing to one in six straight overall. The Brewers are currently on a streak of not allowing a first inning run in 14 straight games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NRFI Prediction 2: Royals vs Guardians (-104)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Royals and Guardians start up a 4-game series tonight with the first three games these two played this season all going to a NRFI. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jordan Lyles finally got in the win column his last start improving his record to 1-11 on the season. Lyles has allowed a first inning run in 11 of his 16 starts but has shown improvements not allowing one in three of his past four starts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before yesterday\u2019s loss to the Braves, the Guardians had played to a NRFI in nine straight with the Royals standing tied as the fourth worst first inning scoring team when playing on the road. When playing at home the Guardians are the seventh worst first inning scoring team in the MLB as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
