They also traded for or singed veteran offensive players DJ Chark, Hayden Hurst, Adam Thielen and Miles Sanders<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is a look at the Panthers&#8217; depth chart for the 2023 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Carolina Panthers QB Depth Chart<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Panthers are prepared to start #1 overall NFL Draft pick Bryce Young to open up the season but will still compete with veteran Andy Dalton come training camp. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalton spent his first nine seasons as a member of the Bengals and has played for three different teams in the last three seasons mostly as a backup (Cowboys, Bears, Saints). The Panthers are hoping Dalton will be a solid mentor for Young in his first NFL season<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third-string quarterback is Matt Corral who was drafted in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft and didn&#8217;t take a snap as a member of the Panthers last season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Panthers&#8217; quarterback depth chart is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp; Bryce Young<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp; Andy Dalton<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp; Matt Corral<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Carolina Panthers RB Depth Chart<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Panthers&#8217; starting running back is Miles Sanders who the Eagles signed to a 4-year $25 million contract in the offseason and is eager to be the bell cow back for Carolina. He rushed for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns last season with the Eagles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The backup running back is Chuba Hubbard, who was drafted by the Panthers in the fourth round of the 2021 draft. Hubbard was a star at Oklahoma State, where he rushed for over 2,000 yards and 21 touchdowns in 2019. He accumulated 716 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns last season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DJ Chark also signed as a free agent with Carolina on a 1-year $5 million deal playing 11 games last season while accumulating 502 yards and three touchdowns for Detroit. Marshall played for offensive coordinator Joe Brady at LSU and was part of their national championship team in 2019.
