Stay on top of the latest NBA<\/a> updates direct from Las Vegas!<\/em><\/p>\n The Nets got the win without Kevin Durant against the Lakers on Saturday, and they\u2019ll look to hand the other LA team a loss tonight before they return home as the Nets are -4 against the Clippers tonight with a total of 213.5 points.<\/p>\n The Clippers lost by three to Denver last night as they are having to get used to life without Paul George as he is out for a minimum 3-4 weeks. Both teams are missing their big star, but is there a wager to be made here?<\/p>\n I wasn\u2019t high on the Clippers before the season started as I did not like their depth and I thought they were a Paul George injury away from being a fairly bad team, and here we are. They\u2019ve now lost four out of five, and without PG and Reggie Jackson this could be a tough stretch as they face Brooklyn twice and the Celtic over the next six days.<\/p>\n Over the last five games the Clippers have yet to score over 105 points, and they\u2019ve faced some teams they should score way more points than that (SAC, OKC, SA). Last nights lineup will be what they will be working with today, and it was eye opening as Brandon Boston Jr. was tied as their leading scorer with Eric Bledsoe. They don\u2019t have any shot creators last night and they only scored 100 points against a Denver team who is struggling right now.<\/p>\n The Nets hadn\u2019t played since December 18th, and Harden came out on fire with a triple double going for 36-10-10 while Patty Mills added 34 points. It was definitely an indictment of how bad the perimeter defense is for the Lakers right now, and they\u2019ll probably need similar performances tonight. Only four Net\u2019s players had double digit points in that game, and the bench only contributed 12 points.<\/p>\n Two talented guards, Dejounte Murray and Tyrese Haliburton, have recently had big games against this Clippers team so I expect Harden to be able to thrive tonight. The other interesting matchup is what impact Zubac will have tonight. Brooklyn will be playing small all night, so he might be able to dominate inside, or on the flip side he might be unplayable as he\u2019s such a defensive liability to smaller lineups.<\/p>\n I\u2019ve been skeptical about this Clippers team all season, and I think this could be a really bad stretch for them. If Harden gets the Nets going early, the Clippers don\u2019t have the weapons to keep up. They couldn\u2019t keep up with Denver last night who is a bottom tier team in pace of play while Brooklyn plays at the 6th fasted pace.
