\u2022The Defensive Rookie of the Year is far more evenly dispersed to positions compared to the offensive counterpart. Sauce Gardner brought home the award last season for the Jets and became the third corner in the past eight seasons to win. Linebackers have taken the award home 13 times since 2000 but only one made the top ten list. Defensive ends and linemen have been successful recently as they have won the award five times since 2013.<\/p>\n

NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Prop Predictions<\/h2>\n

Sometimes a favorite is there for a reason and that seems to be case with Will Anderson Jr as he will be a pivotal piece of the Houston Texans defense.<\/p>\n

After seeing Sauce Gardner win the award in 2022, I’m looking towards a cornerback for my second selection. We will give two selections for this prop to put equal bets on.<\/p>\n

Will Anderson Jr +350:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Houston Texans traded a king’s ransom to move up to third overall in the draft to select Will Anderson Jr. He recorded 34.5 sacks over the last three seasons and a one of the elite pass rushers to come out of the draft in recent years.<\/p>\n

DeMeco Ryans won this award in 2006 and now he will be grooming the potential winner in Anderson. Anderson is in the best position to make an impact immediately and if he hits double digit sacks, the award will be his.<\/p>\n

Christian Gonzalez +950:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The New England Patriots drafted Christian Gonzalez 17th overall out of Oregon with high expectations and those expectations are only growing.<\/p>\n

The first-year cornerback lined up opposite to Johnathan Jones in the teams first 11-on-11 drills, suggesting he is considered a day one starter.<\/p>\n

Gonzalez is 6-foot-2, has elite athleticism and recorded four interceptions last season with the Ducks. Bill Belichick has consistently churned out talented defensive backs and his playmaking ability give him plenty of upside.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
