Canadian Grand Prix Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

On a 20-11 run in Formula 1 plays, and our plays are up for this weeks race, qualifying and practice here:<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for someone to challenge Max Verstappen, don\u2019t get your hopes up at this track. I think this track sets up a bit similar to Spain in that Red Bulls advantage on the long stretches will be very apparent.<\/p>\n

Even with the Mercedes upgrades I don\u2019t see anyone competing with Max unless there\u2019s a reliability issue or wreck. Max won this race last year by a second over Carlos Sainz in the Ferrari, but if there are no late cautions we could see Max win by 30+ seconds.<\/p>\n

The Mercedes upgrades certainly looked good as they finished 2-3, but if Perez would have qualified better, he certainly would have spoiled the double podium for Mercedes. However, they were absolutely better than Ferrari and Fernando Alonso so they may have jumped into that #2 spot in the team power rankings right now.<\/p>\n

I like what I\u2019ve seen from the Alpine\u2019s, especially Ocon as he\u2019s finished top 10 in three straight races, and all three of those races have cashed tickets on Alpine Double Top 10, and if they can finish 8th and 10th on the last track, I think they can do it again at this track.<\/p>\n

Canadian Grand Prix Drivers to Avoid<\/h3>\n

Drivers to avoid:\u00a0\u00a0In head to head matchups for the race, I won\u2019t be betting on Lando Norris, Sergio Perez or the Ferrari drivers.<\/p>\n

Ferrari can\u2019t get their act together for race strategy, and what they are doing to Sainz and Leclerc this season is laughable.<\/p>\n

When Leclerc can\u2019t even trust his own team to put the correct tyres on the car, there\u2019s no way I can trust those guys in bets.\u00a0\u00a0Norris is all or nothing as he finishes top 10 or 17th.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s ok to take over his teammate in qualifying, but he can\u2019t get anything consistent going in races.<\/p>\n

Perez has turned into a bonehead in qualifying, and it\u2019s ruined his last couple races.\u00a0\u00a0No doubt he has great race pace, but starting far behind Mercedes and Verstappen is a recipe for not making it to the podium.<\/p>\n

Canadian Grand Prix Prediction: Mercedes Double Top 6-140<\/h2>\n

We\u2019ve been betting on Mercedes Top 10 all season as a parlay piece (which you can still absolutely do), but I\u2019ll happily play them Double Top 10 at -140.<\/p>\n

Those new upgrades looked great, and I expect them to not compete with Red Bull, but to be ahead of Ferrari and Fernando Alonso.<\/p>\n

Russell and Hamilton know how to stay out of trouble, and Mercedes always seems to have the right strategy in place.<\/p>\n
